TSX Venture Companies

One of the neat features of ChartSmart is that you can screen out TSX Venture companies based on news release content. An interesting screen is to select TSX Venture companies trading near year lows and also having the words private placement or options in their news releases. Often insiders take the opportunity to issue low priced shares to themselves when the price of the stock is low, say 10 or 15 cents a share. If you see large private placements and options being issued to insiders this might be a clue they are planning on doing positive things with the stock in the future.
