Often it is tempting to only look at stocks that are on an uptrend but one of the problems is determining if the uptrend is near an end. Another approach is looking at stocks that are at an all time low and taking showing weakness can be very profitable if you can spot these stocks before they trend upward again. One of the big advantages of buying such stocks is that the percentage return can be very high given the price is relatively low to its historical price. In addition, when a stock is at new lows it mean fewer more investors were in at higher prices. In this example, the stocks are in a major decline stage. They are trading only 4% from their 52 week low and they have dropped at least 3 days in a row in price illustrating further short term weakness. We have also set the volume over 20,000 shares per week in this example. In addition we have specified they have had a price drop of at least 20% in the last 3 days.
